Frequently Asked Questions

When will Line & Leaf be available?
We are building and testing the first version now. The App Store release date has not been announced.
What information will a person’s profile contain?
The initial profile is intentionally simple: first name, last name, birth and death dates when applicable, a note, a photo, and family relationships.
Can one person belong to more than one part of a family?
Yes. A person is represented once and can participate in multiple relationships. The app will not require duplicate profiles to show those connections.
Will my family information be public?
No. Line & Leaf is being designed around private family spaces. Public family research is not the purpose of the app.
How do I report media?
Open the photo or clip and tap the flag.
What is a Family Curator?
A Family Curator is a person authorized through Line & Leaf to access and help maintain a particular Family Space. It is an app role, not legal custody, guardianship, or ownership.
How will password recovery work?
Choose “Forgot password” in the app. Line & Leaf will email a secure link that opens the password reset page on this website.
Will subscriptions be managed by Apple?
Any iOS subscription will be billed and managed through your Apple Account. The initial authentication test may precede paid plans.
How can I request access to or deletion of my data?
Open Subscription Management in Line & Leaf, then choose Delete Account. Enter your current password and confirm to delete the account immediately. Your app access and personal account data are removed while the durable Family Record remains. If no Curator remains, the Family Record becomes inaccessible and a represented family member may contact AppSimple about the manual identity-review process.
